What a beautiful thing to be surrounded by so much pure love and inspiration that has led me to this place.. 

  Hi, I'm Kayla, owner and creator of Kay's Art Stop, and a full time Hair Stylist. My mantra of life is to be authentic, laugh a lot, be kind to others, take risks, and do whatever makes you truly feel good. I'm sure for many people like wise the feel-good activities and interests can change like the seasons. I myself have so many ways I enhance my day-to-day routines, making them feel more special. I MUST have an iced coffee every day- yup- even in the subzero temperatures! Sometimes I blare music in the car or listen to my favorite pod cast while doing errands. Buying fresh fruits and fresh flowers, trying new makeup looks- or bare facing it and sleeping in the coziness of home watching YouTube and snacking. A little retail therapy- thrift shopping or moseying around antique stores, taking home that one special find that makes you feel like you hit the Lotto. Reading novels for hours on end on the ocean side, collecting shells and smiles from strangers. Exploring the county fairs in the fall season with a giant blueberry beer and aweing at all the vendors. There are a million more things I could go on about that bring me joy. 

       What most brings me joy are the people along the way. My beautiful mother Sandra has been my rock and a large inspiration in my artistic journey. My Grandparents, Aunt, Uncle, Cousins, and Best Friends who have been here through everything. All of the beautiful Clients who have sat in my chair, and all the souls I have crossed paths with in this twisty whacky life.

       I have frequented vendors my whole adult life, observing and buying things that have spoken to me deeply. Other people's art has completely inspired me to share my art. I have been drawing, painting, creating things for ever, and always had kept them reserved. I think this was largely due to fear of what if no one likes my work, what if I fail. But we all have fears that hold us back, don't we? We all start somewhere, right? The conclusion I've come to is, this is what I LOVE. This is what feeds my soul, and I'd be doing myself a Dis justice by not continuing to grow in what I love. 

      So, if you're here today, thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
